YOUR DATA, YOUR PHOTOS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
PhotoUnlocked is designed to process photos on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your photos or the information you use in the app.
Information we collect
PhotoUnlocked does not ask you to create an account. The app does not use advertising or analytics services, and we do not collect personal information through the app.
If you contact support through Settings → Share feedback or email us, we receive the email address and details you choose to send. The in-app form can include your app version, iOS version, device model, and an optional screenshot that you select. PhotoUnlocked creates an email draft; nothing is sent until you tap Send. We use information you send to respond and handle your request.
Your photos and files
When you choose photos or images from Files, PhotoUnlocked processes them on your device. The app may keep temporary working files in its private app storage while it prepares an image or finishes a save. It saves a newly prepared version to your Photos library; your selected original remains unchanged.
PhotoUnlocked does not upload your photos to servers operated by the developer. If an image is stored in iCloud Photos, Apple’s Photos services may download it to your device according to your Apple Account and iCloud settings.
Permissions
- Camera: used to capture photos when you use the in-app camera.
- Photos: used to access selected images for processing, resume unfinished imports, and save prepared photos. You can also choose images through Apple’s system photo picker.
- Files: used only for images you choose through Apple’s system file picker.
You can change app permissions in iOS Settings. If you deny access, the related feature may not work.
Apple services and payments
Apple distributes PhotoUnlocked and handles App Store purchases. Apple may process information under its own privacy policy and terms. PhotoUnlocked does not receive your full payment card details.
Data retention and security
Unfinished app-owned working files may remain on your device so you can resume or retry a task. PhotoUnlocked removes temporary files as work is completed or when you remove an unfinished task. Photos saved to your library remain there until you delete them using Photos.
Information you send to support is kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the request, unless a longer period is required by law.
Children and changes
PhotoUnlocked is a general-purpose photography utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. We will update this policy if the app’s data practices change and publish the new version here.
